What is an American accent? Some research from book #3!
Hey guys;
Not wishing to give too much away, at this early stage, but one of my suspects in book #3 is described early on, as having an 'American accent'...
So, the research in me began, as I had not considered the question, 'In 1852, what would an American have sounded like?'
The results are fascinating, so I have attached two links which give a great insight into something we probably take for granted, certainly on the British side of 'the pond'.

I love to learn about my new friends in the States and Canada, and this is so interesting!
